Yamaha Motor Australia enjoyed a solid haul of results at the opening round of the Australian Superbike Championship last weekend, Ray Howard and John Redding congratulating their support riders on Monday.
Yamaha motorsport manager Howard congratulated Yamaha-supported riders Aaron Gobert (Supersport), Cru Halliday (Prostock) and Mike Jones (Superstock) on their class victories over the weekend.
“I would like to congratulate all Yamaha riders on an extremely successful weekend at Phillip Island,” Howard said.
“To take the round win in three major classes is a great reflection of the bikes and the riders we have on board and all of them should be proud of their efforts.
“We hope this is just the beginning of a very successful year for Yamaha in road racing.”
Yamaha Racing Team manager John Redding was equally impressed with Yamaha’s selection of sattelite riders’ results.
“Aaron Gobert rode a sensational race and finally looks to be showing his true potential on board the R6,” he added.
“Cru and Mike have become top flight racers over the past 12months and their hard work off the track is evident on it in their results and professionalism.
“Well done to all three riders on a sensational weekend.”
