The world famous Britten V1000 will make an appearance this Easter at the 2011 Honda Broadford Bike Bonanza.

Last seen on Australian shores in 1993, the iconic Christchurch-built bike has been a regular on the historic road racing scene across the Tasman in New Zealand, where it currently resides under the ownership of Kevin Grant.

Grant’s decision to bring his pride and joy to Broadford is sure to have enthusiasts of the rare machines salivating at the sight and sound of the blue and pink twin.

One of only 10 V1000’s built prior to the death of creator John Britten in 1995, this particular machine is believed to be the only running example of the masterfully-built bikes remaining, making its visit to the 2011 Honda Broadford Bike Bonanza all the more unique.

Currently one of the most sought-after bikes in the world, the Britten will be ridden by none other than Kiwi Motorcycle Sport legend Hugh Anderson.

The winner of four Motorcycle Grand Prix World Championships, Anderson returns to Australia after recently riding in Holland.

While the Britten V1000 will be a must-see, there will be plenty of classic machines hitting the State Motorcycle Complex, highlighted by two Australian-made classics.

The Daytona-winning Irving Vincent 1300 and the machine Malcolm Campbell rode in the Australian Superbike Championship, the 1000cc Hunwick Hallam will be present, adding to the blockbuster line-up of classic bikes.

The HBBB is the only event where you can ride in the disciplines of Speedway, Dirt Track, Observed Trials, Motocross, Enduro and Road Racing at the one venue, making it a truly unique event on a global scale.
