American Josh Hansen has vowed to bounce back at tomorrow night’s Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship, season finale in Brisbane after finishing an uncharacteristic fourth last weekend in Sydney.

The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider is on track to wrap up the Open class series in his first attempt this weekend, however he admits that he was frustrated with his performance one week ago.

“It was just one of those tracks – it was super tight and really hard to pass,” Hansen explained. “I crashed so many times tonight and it was frustrating and I definitely wasn’t where I wanted to be at the end.

“I’m looking forward to Brisbane. I definitely need to step my game up for this week.”

Heading into this weekend’s Triple Challenge season finale, Hansen maintains a comfortable 44-point lead entering the round.

Fourth in Sydney marked dual X Games Super X gold medalist Hansen’s worst result of the season, enjoying an ultra-consistent run of second at Newcastle, Canberra and Launceston before winning both Auckland and Dunedin.

Hansen will return to the U.S. early next week to commence his preparation for the AMA West Coast Lites Championship series, which kicks off at Anaheim 1 on 8 January in California.
