Honda Australia has launched an all-new motorcycle website at www.hondamotorcycles.com.au.
Presenting a rich, stylish look and feel in a clearer print version, the new site not only offers a host of new features to satisfy Honda motorcycle enthusiasts, but also lays the foundation for a variety of future improvements set to further enhance the site.
“The internet has rapidly become one of the most powerful tools to connect with riders and potential customers,” Honda Australia general manager, motorcycles, Tony Hinton commented.
“It is increasingly more crucial that a website is informative, interactive and, above all, easy to use – I think we have all of those elements at play in this new site.
“And as we roll out our series of new improvements like an iPad friendly version and games, the motorcycles.honda.com.au website will obviously just keep getting better and better.”
The new and improved site offers riders easy access to Honda Motorcycles product information, now with high definition pictures to let them zoom in close.
Honda’s product pages are packed with extensive model information including motorcycle features, specifications, latest technologies, product brochures and videos.
Now, an innovative new tool adds an extra dimension to viewing Honda products online by allowing images and specifications of multiple models to sit side by side on screen for easy comparison.
The site also incorporates a dedicated technology page which details the latest key Honda Advanced Technologies that set Honda motorcycles apart from the rest.
The interactive site features a Dealer Locator with a postcode search, an extensive image gallery with a range of wallpaper downloads, as well as improved feedback facilities to ensure users can have a say.
Honda riders can also stay connected with links to social networking websites such as Facebook, Twitter now featured on the site.
Using an intelligent content management system, Honda can ensure that the latest news and content is available online as quickly as possible.
With the first phase of the new website launched, Honda Motorcycles now turns its attention to planned future developments which include the introduction of HTML5 content which is ideal for iPad, iPod and iPhones, a version for mobile phones, plus a low bandwidth version to ensure that content is accessible at all times.
A free member login area allowing riders to update information and save preferences, and the ability for users to change the themes to suit their own style are among the additions slated for the next round of site upgrades, along with exclusive Honda competitions and games.
