Serco Yamaha has added Adam Monea to its line-up for the final two rounds of the Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship, set to make his debut this weekend in Sydney on Saturday night.
Monea will fill the seat left by the injured Kirk Gibbs for the final two rounds of Super X, joining Ford Dale on the factory Yamaha Lites team.
Team owner Gavin Eales welcomes Monea for the final two rounds and is looking for a big finish from his team in the remaining events.
“There is no question both riders are fast and capable of winning races,” Eales commented. “Ford just needs to keep his head and ride within his limits, while Adam has proven he has the speed in the past and if he gets a start he will be right in the thick of the action.”
Sydney’s round takes place this Saturday night at Parramatta Stadium, with Monea making his return to the Lites class after campaigning the earlier rounds of the season in the Open class.
