The Liberty Racing team has purchased the ex-Ducati Xerox factory bikes for 2011.

The brand new Liberty Racing Ducati team of Jakub Smrz and Sylvain Guintoli has received a boost for 2011, purchasing the ex-Ducati Xerox machines raced this season.

Close collaboration with Ducati has enabled the team to purchase the four 1198 F10 Factory machines used by Noriyuki Haga and Michel Fabrizio during 2010.

Development work will continue on the bikes thanks to the presence in the team garage of engineer Luca Ferraccioli of Ducati, under the supervision of Ernesto Marinelli.

The team, run by Natale Egi, will also have four more engineers, two chief mechanics, four mechanics and two tyre technicians with numerous years experience in the WSBK championship.

Sporting director will be Francesco Mastrandrea, while expert Lorenzo Gandini will be responsible for suspension development.

Liberty Racing has planned a private test programme at Spain’s Guadix circuit on 12-13 January, in addition to the SBK official tests at Portimao and Phillip Island. Talks are also underway with Motorland Aragon for another private test at the end of January.
