Motocross World Championship sensation Ken Roczen has signed for KTM’s factory Red Bull-backed MX2 team to contest the 2011 championship.
The 16-year-old Dutch rider finished second to KTM’s Frenchman Marvin Musquin as a Suzuki rider this season, concluding the GP season with a victory in Italy on Sunday.
At the close of the race program in Italy, Pit Beirer, the man in charge of KTM’s off-road racing program announced at a press conference that Roczen had been signed for the KTM factory team.
With two-time world champion Musquin switching to KTM’s United States race program under the management of Roger DeCoster, Roczen joins Jeffrey Herlings to contest the MX2 for KTM next season.
