Last chance qualifiers:
In 2010 there will be no LCQ races. Instead the two remaining spots in the Open and Lites classes will be made up of either the promoter’s choice or the two highest placed riders in overall championship points who have not already qualified.
Holeshot award:
Due to the fact there are so many holeshots in both classes, the holeshot award in 2010 will be awarded at the end of the series to the rider who scores the greatest number of holeshots throughout the championship. If two riders are tied on equal wins, the rider who won the last holeshot will be declared the winner.
Super X Eliminator Challenge:
In 2010 there will be a Super X Eliminator Challenge that will take place at every round. This race will comprise the top four place getters in each of the two Open heats. The rider with the fastest lap time in the heats will race against the slowest of the top eight, and so on as per below.
Round 1:
1 vs 8
2 vs 7
3 vs 6
4 vs 5
Semi Finals:
The four race winners from round one race off in the semi final.
Final:
The two remaining riders race off for the chance to win the Super X Eliminator Challenge.
