Honda’s nine Melbourne region dealers have joined forces to offer a series of ‘Try It’ days on the entire range of motocross, enduro and fun bikes making for an enjoyable excursion for the whole family.
Three top riding locations will play host to the days in July and August including the Rosebud Motorcycle Club, Monza Park at Ballarat and HART at Somerton, with Building Champions’ Lee Hogan acting as event coordinator.
As if riding a brand new CRF wasn’t enough of a reason to get out of the house, anyone who purchases a new motorcycle on the day will also go into the draw for $1500 worth of riding gear from the selling dealer.
Participants need to pre-register at www.leehonganracing.com.au and pay a minimal entry fee of $25 on the day which is credited toward any bike purchased. Riders must also wear appropriate gear and present a Motorcycling Australia licence or buy a day licence at the event for $22.
Bikes available for test rides include the CRF450R, CRF250R, CRF450X, CRF250X, CRF150R/B, CRF150F, CRF100F, CRF80F, CRF70F and CF50F.
The Honda CRF450R and CRF250R have a history of dominating off road racing disciplines due to their light weight and effortless manoeuvrability. Both bikes boast a powerful, compact engine with Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) combined with a twin spar aluminum frame featuring the Honda Progressive Steering Damper.
Honda’s endurance machines including the CRF450X and CRF250X shine in events such as the Finke Desert Race and Australasian Off Road Championships with their dynamic power, slim form and rugged, long-travel suspension. Push-button electric starting and Australian Design Rule modifications mean riders can enjoy Honda’s X series bikes all day and night.
Catering to kids from six years old and up, Honda’s fun bikes feature both semi automatic as well as five-speed gear boxes. Each bike features a hardy four-stroke engine, as well as a rugged and compliant suspension system that stands up to all the dirty business a youngster can throw at it.
Participating dealers include Advantage Motorcycles, Freestyle Honda, Geoff Taylor Motorcycles, Metro Motorcycles, Mornington Honda, Motorcycle Land Ballarat, New World Honda and Peter Stevens Motorcycles (Melbourne and Geelong).
