Favourite track and worst track?

Favourite track: Suzuka, Japan. Worst track: Pukekohe, New Zealand!!!

Greatest moment of your career?

Winning the first New Zealand Superbike Championship. It was the last race of the championship – winner takes all. I took the lead with two turns to go to win the race and the championship!

Most respected rival?

Without a doubt, Shawn Giles.

Race day food and drinks?

On race day I struggle to eat much at all, but drink plenty of water.

Got any superstitions?

Not really, but I do have a pair of jocks if I need an extra couple of tenths.

Best all-time MotoGP race?

Any race where an Aussie has won at Phillip Island. To be there and feel the excitement in the crowd is pretty cool.

Do you read your pit board?

I always tell my team I do.

Work 9-5? If so, where at!?

I have a small landscaping business, but I wouldn’t say I work the average 9-5.

Favourite restaurant?

Brett’s Wharf in Brisbane.

Top magazine on the newsagent shelves?

Has to be AMCN!

Gatorade, Powerade or water?

I mostly drink water.

iPod or CD? What tunes you rockin’?

Both – there’s a time and a place for everything. From electro to easy listening, at the right time I can enjoy it all.

MotoGP or World Superbike?

WSBK.

Capirossi or Bautisa?

As long as it’s a Suzuki…

NZSBK or ASBK?

Both have their pros and cons. Take the pros from both and we would have a championship to rival any in the world.

Famous last words…

Always believe you can win, no matter what.
