A host of non-championship support categories have been added to next month’s Broadford round of the Viking Group Australian Superbike Championship in Victoria.
The event was originally scheduled to feature the regular development classes in a round that the premier Superbike and Supersport categories will be absent on 2-4 July, however it’s been revealed that series promoter International Entertainment Group has added four extra support categories to the schedule.
Superbikes and Supersport are back on the agenda in non-championship ASBK Cup categories for all grades, intended for club and state level competitors, while a 400cc ASBK Open Cup and Junior ASBK Cup has also been added at the last minute.
According to IEG, trophies will be awarded to the podium finishers for each class overall, with entries receiving a rider pass, two pit crew passes and a car pass for the weekend.
It’s also been announced that camping will be available for riders, teams and officials at the Broadford round.
The additional ASBK Cup classes will feature three practice sessions each on Friday, a single qualifier on Saturday plus two eight-lap races, with a warm-up and another two eight-lap races completing the weekend on Sunday.
Entry fee per class is $220.00, with Friday practice an additional $85.00, while full garages will be available for $147.50 and a half garage will be $73.75.
The championship categories competing at the Broadford double-header round will be the Superstock 1000 C and D, Superstock 600 and 125/250-Mono Grand Prix classes, set the headline the program over the recently revised three-day schedule.
Entry forms, camping forms, Supplementary Regulations and all information can be found at the official ASBK website via www.asbk.com.au.
