American Mike Alessi has confirmed that he will contest the 2010 Monster Energy Super X, Australasian Supercross Championship.

The talented Californian hasn’t revealed what team he will contest the series with, however he has confirmed that he signed a deal with Super X series general manager Mal Peter at the Las Vegas finale of the AMA Supercross Championship.

“Yesterday I signed a contract to do the SuperX Series in Australia with the race promoter Mal Peters in Las Vegas,” Alessi wrote on his official website. “The first race will be 16 October in Newcastle! The Super X series has become a very exciting and fun program and I am very excited to be apart of it later this year.”

Super X will commence in October this year, and it is expected that Peter was in the U.S to organise further appearances from American riders for the 2010 season.
