Gold Coast-based freestyle motocross rider Kain Saul will complete a three-rider lineup for the Showtime Yamaha FMX team at this weekend’s Australian Motorcycle Expo at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Saul recently made headlines when he became the first person in the world back flip a Harley-Davidson.
Making his name early on as a standout mini bike freestyler, he progressed through the ranks to become one of the country’s best, and was recognised as the Australian Freestyle Motocross (AFMX) champion at the end of 2008.
As well as his role with the Showtime Yamaha FMX team, Saul is a regular rider on the world-renowned Crusty tour.
He said he always enjoyed the chance to ride in front of a home crowd.
“I’m looking forward to being part of the action at the Australian Motorcycle Expo, it’s a huge event for the Gold Coast and attracts heaps of FMX and bike fans in general,” said Saul.
“With three riders we’ve got the chance to throw down some pretty unique tricks and will be doing everything we can to get the home crowd cheering.”
The Yamaha Action Arena demos will take place on Friday at 1.30pm and 5.30pm, Saturday at 11.00am, 1.30pm and 5.00pm and Sunday 10.30am, 12.30pm and 3.30pm.
Saul will also visit the Freerider MX stand throughout the event to meet with fans and promote his new ‘Sauly’ signature cap from leading action sports brand Unit.
FMX, freestyle jetski, mini bike and trials riders will form the ultimate entertainment schedule for action sports fans at the event, which opens this Friday.
All Yamaha Action Arena shows are inclusive of visitor ticket prices, which start at $13 for children.
