Motorex KTM Junior Racing has announced its line up for 2010, which will again be conducted under the successful management of Glenn Macdonald Racing (GMR).
GMR has re-signed 2009 World Junior Motocross Champion Jay Wilson and multiple state junior championship holder, and third place podium holder at the World Junior Motocross Championship, Dylan Long. While Jay and Dylan have ridden with Motorex KTM in 2009, newcomers to the team for 2010 include Reece Rayner, winner of the 2009 65cc Queensland Junior Motocross Championship, and Scott Mann, who was runner-up in the 2009 85cc Australian Junior Motocross Championship.
Representing KTM for the fourth consecutive year in the women’s category of racing will be Kristy Gillespie, 2008 and 2009 Victorian State Motocross Champion, and runner up at the 2009 Australian Women’s Motocross Championship.
Commenting on the year ahead, GMR Motorex KTM Team Manager, Glenn Macdonald said, “I’m quite confident of a successful year ahead for all team riders. We don’t sign riders who are not dedicated, or don’t give 100 percent commitment to their racing, and I know through working with each of these talented athletes each of them has the determination, and potential to be on the podium,” commented GMR Motorex KTM team manager Glenn Macdonald.
“I’m really excited to re-sign Jay Wilson, Dylan Long and Kristy Gillespie who have proven to be outstanding representatives of GMR Motorex KTM Junior and Women’s Racing, and I’m looking forward to developing the skills and racing ability of our new comers, Scott Mann and Reece Rayner. Sadly, we say goodbye and good luck to junior racer Sam Duncanson, who is stepping up into senior racing to contest the U-19s Australian Motocross Championship, and we certainly wish him well.
“Junior racing starts early in the season, with Dylan Long already confirmed to contest the New Zealand Junior Supercross Championship which gets underway this month, so there is no time for rest, we’re already into racing and looking forward to the year ahead.”
