Five days since suffering head injuries in a heavy race fall at Coolum, 19 year old KRT rider Luke George is making great progress.

At 4:00pm this afternoon, Luke woke from his coma to put his arm around KRT Manager Brett Whale as Brett encouragingly spoke with him.

Brett says, “I said to Luke, ‘Come on Champion, it’s time to get up. We’ve got Supercross testing coming up and you’ve got to go and ride with Mitch Payton and Pro Circuit in America.’ Luke then put his arm around me and rubbed my back. It’s absolute gold. I’m just so happy.”

“I then told Luke that he’d been lying on his back too long and it was time for him to roll over so I could rub his back and he rolled over.”

“I don’t know if it was the thought of riding one of Mitch Payton’s bikes or Supercross testing that woke him up but we’re all so so happy.”
