HONDA AUSTRALIA:
Honda has recorded a strong result at the six month mark for FCAI motorcycle retail sales with 11,837 units sold across the ATV, Road, Off Road and Scooter segments.
The manufacturer’s results put them in the lead position for the market overall which continues to show strength in the rural sector (ATVs) with Honda’s TRX range continuing to hold five of the top ten positions.
Honda also experienced growth with their entry level CBF250 and CB400s, the class leading SCV100 Lead scooter and CRF230F trail bike.
In the Motocross category, Honda is leading sales with the CRF250R and fuel injected CRF450R.
“It is great to see our ATV’s and scooters continuing to perform well in this economy,” said Honda Motorcycle’s National Sales Manager, Tony Sesto.
“For the remainder of the year, we have a couple of all-new bikes to look forward to, including the Fury – a custom chopper – and the fuel injected VTR250.”
“Rider safety also continues to be a major focus for Honda, and with our new HART centre in Somerton now in full operation, we are looking forward to delivering new road and off road skills programs in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.”
